Latest work: we identify a CTP switch that controls membrane-binding activity of the Nucleoid occlusion protein Noc in Bacillus subtilis. CTP is crucial for the formation of a three-way linkage between the chromosome, Noc protein, and the cell membrane. https://bit.ly/3jFXT2V.

Fantastic collaborations with Jeff Errington lab, Ling Wu, X-ray crystallography platform (Dave Lawson and Clare Stevenson), and Chemistry platform (Martin Rejzek) at the JIC. Ideas and work has been driven in large part by Adam Jalal.
